Are you interested in living a healthy, vegan lifestyle but are overwhelmed with changing so much about your diet? You may be thinking, ‘I’ll have to live off of salads and peanut butter!’ But don’t get discouraged! Garden Dish is here to help. Welcome to our project that profiles ordinary people and how they’re making vegan work for them. We’re calling it MVP, Making Vegan Practical. In this ongoing series of interviews, we’re diving into the who, what, when, where, how, and why of people on a journey to health and happiness through a plant-based lifestyle. By interviewing vegans from all walks of life, we can show you that while going veggie is a challenge, it’s a very possible and fulfilling one. From doctors to nutrition counselors to PETA’s Sexiest Vegan Next Door, from those who have done it for ethical reasons to those who did it for their health, from both older and younger people—every single person has a different, compelling story when it comes to why and how they switched to a plant-based lifestyle. Our goal is to uncover tips, tricks, and ideas that will help you get the most from your vegan lifestyle.
Hopefully, this interview series will inspire and encourage you along your journey. Those that we’ve interviewed have showed such a passion for their vegan lifestyle and a fierce determination to stick with it. They inspired me, so I’m sure they can do the same to you! Tips from interviewees about favorite restaurants, go-to recipes, vegan information resources such as magazines and blogs, their struggles regarding their diet, and the health benefits they’ve seen since transitioning will make you think, ‘Hey, maybe this isn’t as hard as I thought it would be.”
I think that if they can do it, so can you!
