Everybody needs a recipe for a Simple Chocolate Sauce. It has so many uses; including eating right off the spoon! This recipe is so simple that I usually make it right before serving. And it only dirties one bowl, or one saucepan, depending on whether you use the microwave method or the stove top method. This Simple Chocolate Sauce is silky smooth, and richly chocolate. Start with good quality chocolate chips – vegan, of course – and this will be a winner every time.

Simple Chocolate Sauce

Yield : about 1 1/3 cups

Ingredients

  • 1 cup - non-dairy chocolate chips (we used Enjoy Life Mini Chips)
  • 1/3 cup - soy milk, plain and unsweetened
  • 1 Tbs - agave nectar

Instructions

  1. Whisk together all the ingredients in a saucepan over low heat. Continue to cook and stir frequently until the chocolate chips are melted, and the sauce is smooth. Remove from heat immediately.
  2. Alternatively, you can stir together the ingredients in a microwave safe bowl and cook on High for 30 seconds. Whisk well until no more of the chocolate chips melt. If needed, microwave another 10 seconds or so then whisk again. The sauce should be smooth and silky.
