This is a light, refreshing dressing made from one of our favorite flavor combinations – orange and sesame. And it doubles as a delicious, low-calorie dip for afternoon snacking with celery or carrots. You’ll probably look forward to your daily dose of raw veggies now!
Orange Sesame Dressing
Yield : about 1 1/4 cups
Ingredients
- 2 medium - oranges, peeled
- 1 medium - medjool date, pitted (or 1 Tbs of turbinado sugar)
- 1 Tbs - tahini
- 2 tsp - rice vinegar
- 1/4 tsp - garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp - dijon mustard
- 1/4 tsp - ground black pepper (a few cranks of a pepper mill)
Instructions
- Using a blender, process all the ingredients until smooth.
- Salt to taste.
Tip
I've experimented with making this in a blender and a food processor. It turns out smoother and creamier for me in my blender.
