Rhubarb is a hardy perennial plant that is the first crop from our garden in Spring. This Simple Rhubarb Sauce is delightful as jam on bread or eaten just like applesauce. It gives me great joy to serve this to my family. I hope it will bring great joy to your family too.
- 25 oz - fresh rhubarb stalks, leaves removed, stalks chopped
- 1/2 cup - water
- 1 1/4 cups - turbinado sugar
Combine all the ingredients in a sauce pot over medium heat. Cook until the rhubarb falls about, about 15 minutes.
